When circles dream...

.

I'm working on when circles dream.

When Circles Dream

When circles dream
They dream of you
They always do
Come back to you

The place they find
Is in your head
And if they're lucky
They're in your bed

A million life times
Circle round
A million dreams
They all come down

Please give what help you can to the tornado victims in Indiana....

I didn't want to write a post without first urging anyone reading this to help the storm victims both in Philippines and in the northern Midwest (tornado victims). It's so terrible what has happened.

Now for today's post...

Sometimes there is just a limit to how close a person can get to another...

(Great book or it will be when it's published.)

Now this song?

It makes my dog howl.  For real. I was just listening to it and my dog began to bark and ...

I love my dog.

I get all emo and he sets me straight.

Kind of "Idiot human! Get your brain out of your "head" and do important things like  pet me!"

Great dog.

Dear Santa,

Almost that time of year again. Time for the semi annual letter to Santa. As I explained to you in the last letter, I have been one good person this year.  I have been kind, true, and almost good enough to be a Boy Scout. That is why I don't feel too bad sending this letter.

Santa, as you remember from my last letter, one of my wishes for Christmas, in addition to things like world peace and a new jib sail, was that (use-to-be) Sailing Buddy could be sent some where other than here. At first I thought that you'd already done this when I heard that he would indeed be traveling clear across the country. "Sure it won't be until this summer," I thought " but heck I can hang in there if it means that (use-to-be) Sailing Buddy was finally in a place that he could sail, be happily Liberal, and not do it in the same US state as I am."  Oh hap-py, hap-py day!

Then I found out he was only going to be gone for two weeks. WTF???

So I am writing you another letter because I can see that you might have misunderstood.

I would like for (use-to-be) Sailing Buddy to go else where so that he can find true love and I can FINALLY enjoy sail club. He is not going to find a sugar mama here.

Here is the stronghold of Red State Conservative Republicans.  Here even the women own shotguns and they know how to shoot vermin.  Where we live, they will think that (use-t0-be) Sailing Buddy is a low life like a possum.

Exhibit A: a photo of what Sailing Buddy looks like to women in this state:

There's just not a fighting chance for him to find the kind of woman that (use-to-be) Sailing Buddy is looking for. That's why hearing that you were sending him to Minnesota was such good news. If (Use-to-be) Sailing Buddy is gonna' hunt "deer", he's gotta go to where the "deer" are.  I hear that the women in Minnesota have great legs and money, the two attributes that (use-to-be) Sailing Buddy finds mighty attractive in a women.

(Use-to-be) Sailing Buddy isn't getting any younger and he wants to be a kept man.  If he's to find that long legged, Sugar Mama that he thinks he deserves, he better get going to Minnesota NOW

And he's going to need your help.

So please, Santa, number 10 on my Christmas List this year?  (Use-to-be) Sailing Buddy goes to Minnesota, gets a job, gets a life, and lives that life in a state far, far, away from here.

Yay.

Now for  number 1 -9 on the  Christmas wish list....(TBC)

Happy holidays.

Tornado damage in Indiana

.

Oh ya'll. What a terrible thing has happened today.

http://news.yahoo.com/tornado-peoria-illinois-180706906.html photos

When the tornado hit in Tuscaloosa and other parts of Alabama, so many people came to help. I can tell you that it was greatly appreciated. I hope that our state will return the kindness.

Our prayers are with the victims of this storm.
Soon our help will be with them too.

Hugs.

. , .

I hope that my dad gets to see this movie.

I'm glad that I did.

Especially glad to get to see it where I did and with the people I did.

I've been trying to figure out what it is about where I live.

Why it's been so hard.

And why if it's been so hard?

I haven't left.

.
. The next post is going to seem a bit out of place for 12dots.

Oh and just for the record?

.

I'm a lucky person.

Hugs.

.

I wasn't going to post anything more this year.

(at least not a separate blog post)

But then something happened.

I couldn't not say something.

It would have been ungrateful.

First, hugs.

Thank you for being so nice to a crazy woman like me.

Pup says "Hello!" and "Thank you!" too.

I meant what I said about being blessed.

For along time, I searched for "a place to be".

This Sunday and every Sunday, when I go to church there are people who notice if I'm there or not. They hug my neck and say "I love you."  and "Good to see you."  I say it back. I mean it too. How can we every be sad when we know that there are people who would miss us if we are gone. Every Sunday I can sit in this place. It's cool when it's hot and warm when it's cold.  The music is beautiful.  The message? It tells me that I'm never alone. That someone loves me.

Then? Then I get to eat lunch at the place in the middle of nowhere. That restaurant gave us a place to be when we didn't have a church or even what felt like a friend.  They gave us a tradition. Eating under the trees every Sunday.

I know that is true that someone cared.

I mean that.
.

They weren't the only ones. During this time I talked to all kinds of people. I talked to the mail ladies. We talked to the family that ran the hardware store. We talked to people at the Dollar General, the WalMart, the grocery store clerks, the folks at the library, all kinds of folks. Complete strangers.  They shared their day with me. They smiled at me and they said hello. Some of them remembered us when we came back. Even if they didn't, they still smiled back and said hello.  It's just the kind of people they are.

During the times when it looked like I was alone?
Always God was there in Heaven and the nice people were here on Earth.

Meeting you. I don't know why it happened but I was happy for the conversation and for the hugs.

Oh my. What hugs.

I'm sorry for the trouble and the unfairness that happened to you.

I hope that whatever happens in the future, that it will be good. I'm not sure that the sadness and unfairness is ever taken away. I can hope that future will be so good that it will make the past not so difficult to remember.

Thank you for the excellent memory.  I will replay it in my head and in my heart. I'm still smiling from it.

Oh and I didn't get to tell the story of the man that I meant.

Here it is.

I met a man who was pruning trees. He was exceptionally good at it. Some people prune trees and make them look like they had a losing fight with a chain saw. Not this man.  Next to the trees that he'd pruned, there was a stack of limbs but the trees looked as if they'd naturally grown up beautiful.
I stopped to talk to him and ask him if he pruned pecan trees. We had some trees that needed help. What I could see from the road was the best recommendation that man could have. What I didn't know is what would happen as a result.

During the conversation, I thanked him for being so nice to talk to me.
That's when our conversation turned to religion.
He told me that he tried to treat all strangers as if he was entertaining one of God's angels. It was something he'd read in The Bible. Something about treating all strangers with kindness.

Something about entertaining angels unaware.

I hope that I was kind to you all a stranger.

That's why when I hugged your neck, I made the comment of angel's wings growing out of your back. I thought at the time, "She's gonna think that I'm crazy. I should tell her about the story the man on the road told me."

I hope that you will read this so you'll know.

Hugs.

Writer Ann

PS I went to the restaurant and told them that someone might come by.  If you get a chance to come this way, please let me know either here or DM on the Tweety.  I'd like to repay the kindness for the pizza.  The food is really good and the people are nice. (Everyone has their bad days though just in case.) If you come on Sunday, maybe you could go to church with us and then have Sunday dinner.

Or you could come share Thanksgiving with us during the Thanksgiving week.

Let me know.

According to a cook magazine, (Yes, Virginia, I do read them and I do cook.) no matter what your cultural beginnings, there is some holiday celebrate from now until the end of this year.

And some even after in January.

No matter if you are  riding a sleigh or a jet ski or surfing the waves, there is mirth and holiday opportunities to be had.

This year is especially happy.

Our Thanksgiving tradition of going to get take out turkey  and dressing from the world's best restaurant and eating off of a workbox has been saved.  The restaurant that was burning to the ground last year is open.

We've even been invited to a family Thanksgiving.

Wow.

Last month, as I counted down the days for this particular holiday,  I said to myself,

"You know it's been a long, wet (or dry) summer for someone.

Only one cure for this gloppy uneven year.

Road trip."

Then I looked at the gas pump and then the airline ticket prices and then at my wallet and said,

"Maybe not."

Then I said the one word that is universal and doable no matter where you are or what your circumstances.

Served or paper or china.

Cooked by the finest chefs

or

by KFC.

No matter where you are.

There is one thing almost as good as a road trip.

All together now.

As I write the opening words for the winter holidays.

No matter who or where you are.

The word is...

:
"Let's Party"

I'm so happy.

Unless there's a reason, all writing for the rest of this year will be in the comments for this blog post.

Or on the Tweety.

Or Instagram.

Or ?

Starting with....

You know it makes me want to shout... Happy!

I just got the news. Just this minute.
Oh Santa, you did it.

It is a dream come true. You're sending Sailing Buddy across the country!  Oh happy day. Already I am giddy with the news. But why wait until summer Santa. Why not send him now?

Imagine how much fun he will have in all that snow.  :)

How can I ever tell you how happy I am about this.
Hugs Santa baby. You are just the best.

Yay!

Hmm.

Good morning, Gentle Readers,

Today is not my favorite day.

I never have gotten into the Halloween  holiday.

Tonight when folks are out makin' mischief?  I 'm hopefully going to be sitting by the fire reading. I know that it doesn't sound like much fun. It's just not in my heart to dress like a ghoul and scare people. Me?  I'm more interested in Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Be careful and kind tonight. Think of me while you're rocking the night away.  I've got Christmas decorations to sort.

Cya tomorrow.

Life? Is strange.

.
.
:)

Crazy for the French Quarter.

I remember walking down Bourbon Street singing,  "...I'm crazy for this lady..."

I'm wearing this fierce black hat and I'm mad.

So idiot took two cents when I'd have given him the dollar.

I'm walking down Bourbon Street with my head held high.

I'll show 'em.

When out of the door way wearing a pimp purple suit was Michael Clarke Duncan.
\
The man steps up and shakes my hand.

I smile because he's this bear of a man and I know that I'm going to be okay.

I'm doin it for me.

I'm doin it for my father.

I get to Esplanade when a Voodoo King calls to me.

"I like that hat." he says.

"I do to." I say.

"What is up? What are you doin'?" he says.

I tell him.

He gives me a tung nut. Gives one to WB and Pup too.

Tells me that it will keep us safe.

8 months later Katrina comes.

I'm safe.

So is WB and Pup.

I never did hear what happened to that Voodoo Man

.

You know, Ever since I've started writing this particular blog, no one has commented. Not one person. I know that people read the blog they just don't comment.   Got me to thinking that maybe it's time for a few changes to my own life.

Not sure what I'll do.  WB is always unhappy. Pup's grown. My folks seem to be an island unto themselves.  I go out into the world and people are nice in that business like, "let's all get along so that we can get through this and go home"  kind of way. I miss Irish David and Newt but I doubt that I'll ever hear from them.  Everyone seems to have this other thing to do. All those years of them telling me how they only wanted for my own good when in reality they were just doing things for their own good seem to coming to an end.  At least I didn't become mean spirited.  I didn't become the liars that they became. I'm still, in my heart kind.

I do have my dogs, a roof over my head, and the chickens. People are polite.  If I'm lucky we'll all continue to be polite. I'll hold tea parties for my dogs and hope that Pup will meet someone nice and have kids. I never got a chance to have the friends and family. Home and a companionship, look unlikely.

After years of listening to people tell me my shortcomings, it will be refreshing to have them ignore me.

But hey, I learned how to live my life alone.  Doesn't that sound fun.

I don't have to be funny or engaging.

I don't have to care.

I just have to be polite.

Thank you people in the world who've talked to me and who've been polite because that's just who you are.  I'm sorry that we never got to be friends.  I was lucky to have shared life's everyday events with you. It made a difficult situation better.  If I said hello and hugged your neck?  I meant it.

Not sure how I'm going to spend the rest of the year.  Considering the people who've spent time telling me what a useless twit I am, can't see I'd being doing much of interest to anyone.

I'm thinking that WB has been so miserable that he's gonna  leave.
Don't know what Pup's going to do.
Any hope that I'd see IrishDavid again or hear from Newt seem unlikely.

Time to get off the crazy train.

I hear the next stop is Hopeful and Happy station.

If anyone hears from Irish David, tell him that I'd like to talk to him before I go.

Yours truly,

Sad Panda.

So in the middle of the possum crisis I find out that Tv's Craig Ferguson has a new game show and will be guesting on Hot in Cleveland and basically (since he's been pre taping and "phoning it in" anyway) probably won't renue his contract in 2014.  I don't know if that is true or not but it is a rumor.

Sigh.

I'm not a big fan of this rumour.

But?

After years of watching this guy on tv?

I think it's a good thing.

He's not seemed really happy for the last year or so. It's painfully not funny to watch.

And now that JRT is in the mix and David Letterman decided to stay, it just seems like time for a change.

Good luck Tv's Craig Ferguson. Thank you for getting me to laugh.

Writer Ann.

Sigh just another entity that gets paid big bucks and then leaves.

Must be nice.

.

No capital punishment.

For those of you who've read this blog know,  my setting hens were attacked by an evil possum

My stomach is twisted in knots.

WB got the bright idea to get a possum trap. The possum had come back after that first night, scared the hens off their nests, and then ate all but two of the eggs. Bless their hearts. They were frantic. The rooster was upset. No one got any sleep.

So WB got the possum trap and set it up last night. All night I had dreams of baby possums. "You captured our possum mommy!", little possum babies were saying in my dreams. I tossed and turned. This morning the dogs were barking and the rooster crowing. Out we went to see what happened. WB in his suit and tie and me in t shirt and shorts. Any hope that the possum was holed up with his babies was dashed when I heard WB shout, "Bring me the pellet gun! We captured that egg eating possum!" My heart sank.

Some how I've managed to delay WB's wrath but I'm not sure how long. Last I heard him say was that we could fatten that possum up with corn and eat him for Thanksgiving.    WB may wear a tie to work but I can tell you that he's a Alabama red neck when it comes to stuff like this.

Gentle Reader. Some how? I've got to find a way to relocate this possum by tonight or he or she will be dinner. I am not going to shoot, skin, and eat that living and breathing mammal. The rattle snake was bad enough but I am drawing the line at this possum. I know I was mad at it because it ate the chickens eggs and disrupted my setting hens but I'm not mad enough to kill it.

I'm against capital punishment.

posted on the southern blog

"One more thing.
My comment here isn’t about politics. People are going to think all kinds of things when it comes to politics. This is about the southern. I can read all kinds of books on all kinds of subjects. Can agree or disagree with what they wrote. This is about the “musicality” of words and culture. "

and

"
Dear Sir or is it Madam,
I have to introduce myself and tell you the very first thing that I didn’t read this post until after I wrote about the possum. I am sitting here in the dark writing and fuming at the indignity of that possum and it’s threat to my chickens. I’m also listening to Travis Tritt and I’m good with that because I like to here Travis Tritt sing. (Also for the record, I love to hear Miranda Lambert sing because here songs remind me of all the crazy southern women I have met in my life.)
Anyway.
I am southern, born southern, and except for a few mandatory and voluntary forays out into the rest of the universe? I’ve managed to stay put. However, I have been in a kind of exile of my own making here. It’s not because I talk funny for here. I take regular for here. It’s not because I can’t fathom the culture. Lol I can fathom it til the cows come home….
So I’m thinking after reading a post or two I came here by an accident of curiosity and that southern curiosity that my mother said did in the cat. Every once in a while there’s divine in it.
Providence I hope
So hello and please write back even if I seem a stranger and strange.
It’s not me to blame. It’s my southern nature.
Regards to you and your kin,
Writer Ann
Dogs are barking. This one is a lovey but also a worry wart.
PS Do you speak southern?"

Something to sleep by until I find someone to sleep with...
I just looked at the clock.  I've really got to go get some sleep.

These next couple of posts are all about belonging and home.

Let's start out with Alabama Shakes' song, Rise to the Sun.

.

.

. .

Good morning.
Yo UK?
Who RU?
If you can't comment here?
Find me on Twitter.
We can "...sit and visit..."

.

Head down.
Shoulder to the stone.
Get up.

Positive affirmation at my house.

Lol.  I had it okay.

.

Because I've actually been there.

Once when I was a baby and lots now that I'm grown.

Try as I may.  I can take the girl out of the south.  I just can't take the "southern" out of the girl.

That's the truth.

That said?

We tell the craziest stories because somewhere we've met or have relatives who love to ride the crazy train and drink.

And they love to tell their stories.

.

Lol the possum is so much a part of here and then I find this...

I found a web page.  I hadn't read it, didn't know it existed before I wrote the blog post about the possum.  That whole thing is so much  southern that I talk southern to describe it.  It's like hearing someone who's gone off to school to learn "culture" coming back home for Thanksgiving.

You spend the school term learning how to act but then you come home.

All these people are there and they've known you since you were small.

They don't care that you're on the Dean's List or that you aced that exam.

Oh no.

They know you from the time you sat in that ant bed when you were four and your Aunt Ethel had to swat them off you.  They can remember your first words and worse yet your first date.  :(

They don't put you at ease. They don't "coat" you with southern hospitality either.  Instead? They put you in your place. It's their job.

They teach you manners and culture.

They have to "torment" you so that you'll know better.  Like the story about the guy who went out each morning to swat that seedling with a rolled up newspaper.

Makes it strong. Gives it roots.  That way it won't blow over or break in a strong wind.

Thanks to them you know when to say "Yes, mamm."   You know when it's okay to say, "Thank you Mizz Katheryn," and when to say "Thank you Mizz Smith."  You know how to sit in church. How to eat in polite company.  I read that it was the reason why companies loved to hire southern students for jobs.  "They just know how to be polite and charming."

Hmmf.

It's a cultural thing or a generational thing but it's definitely a southern thing.

I read the post and then their  About section. I thought that this isn't possible.

But I'm guessing that it is.

So I wrote them a letter.

According to the blog comments it's awaiting moderation.

That's good because the posts are current and maybe someone will finally write back.

And they'll speak southern.

:)

The letter in question

Dear Sir or is it Madam,

I have to introduce myself and tell you the very first thing that I didn't read this post until after I wrote about the possum.  I am sitting here in the dark writing and fuming at the indignity of that possum and it's threat to my chickens.  I'm also listening to Travis Tritt and I'm good with that because I like to hear Travis Tritt sing. (Also for the record, I love to hear Miranda Lambert sing because her songs remind me of all the crazy southern women I have met in my life.)
Anyway.
I am southern, born southern, and except for a few mandatory and voluntary forays out into the rest of the universe?  I've managed to stay put. However, I have been in a kind of exile of my own making.  It's not because I talk funny for here.  I talk regular for here.  It's not because I can't fathom the culture.  Lol I can fathom it til the cows come home....
So I'm thinking after reading a post or two I came here by an accident of curiosity and it's that southern curiosity that my mother said did in the cat.  Every once in a while there's divine in it.
Providence I hope
So hello and please write back even if I seem a stranger and strange.
It's not me to blame.  It's my southern nature.

Dogs are barking.  This one is a lovey but also a worry wart.

Regards to you and your kin,

Writer Ann
PS  Do you speak southern?

And a link to the blog...

Come back if you get a notion...

Writer Ann

PS People blame the South and the heat,  I blame the Irish and the Scots.  I don't "blame" them, it's just that those cultures have had so much of an influence on the area.  They didn't just stay inside the fort. They visited outside too.

They tell great stories about the world big and small.

yODELEOOOOOO.   The UK is back. Howdy. Do you talk? Chat? Tweet? Something?  I'm not sleepy. Having to watch for possums. They only come out at night.  :(    See next post.

Now I know where my chicken eggs have been going.... aka How I'm Spending My Fall Vacation...

First?

Public enemy NumberOne.

(I'm thinking of making copies and putting them on telephone posts. Evil possum.! )

I am madder than my rooster at this moment.

There I was in the dark trying to get the last chicken into the roosting pen when...

Let me start over.

It's the middle of the night and the chickens and the dogs started barking.  Barking and squawking and I'm in the house thinking that that doesn't sound right. So out I go into the night to see if maybe one of them has managed to fly out of the pen. I  should be so lucky.  Two of the hens were clucking distress and the rooster and other hens are perched up on the fence.  None of them are on their  roost.  I managed to shoo the rooster and one hen into the enclosure with the other two hens but there was still one left. So I think to myself, "She needs to calm down. Good time to check on the eggs."  I have two broody hens that have been "setting".   We thought that we'd heard a peep of a baby. I was anxious to check while the hens were up from their nest.

What a surprise.

There inside sitting on the nest wasn't a hen but a possum.

A big, nasty, smiling, egg yokes coming out of his mouth, broken egg shells everywhere possum.

There in the middle of the night, while I was trying to coax that last hen into the roosting area, that possum was munching on my girl's eggs.

That instant? I named him Thomas because he was smiling this big ole grin like it was an honor for him to have caused such malicious mischief. (*See below)

I was not amused.

I managed to get the hen into a safe area and the lid up on the nesting place. Mercy only knows what the neighbors are thinking because every other word  I said out loud wasn't nice.  I've got my rake trying to contain that furry rodent long enough to get the water hose.   The possum just sitting there with egg yoke breath. I couldn't stand it any more.

(Do not lecture me about the sanctity of life, Gentle Reader.  That rodent could have killed my chickens.)

At that moment, I did the only thing that I could do.

I sprayed him with the water hose.

I'd keep spraying him too. I didn't want him to EVER come back. Not EVER.

I kept spraying him as he waddled from the hen's nest across the hen yard.  I'm thinking that I'll find out how it got under the fence.

It didn't crawl under the fence. Oh no.

And this part really made me mad.

I have 10 feet tall fence around the chicken yard

and that possum climbed it.

Up and over it went, one little possum paw after the other.

Then it proceeded to walk along the edge of the fence and climb down the other side. Like it was a spider monkey on an after lunch ramble.

The entire time I am spraying him with a water hose and he's acting like is a sunny day.

I am so angry.

One third of the eggs in the nest gone and the broody hens all upset. I'm not sure if they'll go back to roosting after this.

:(

*NB I have named him Thomas because he is a mean, evil, BS artist and I don't care for this four legged thief any more than the two legged azz that he's named after.

Boo and hiss ...

:P times 2.

Note to Gentle Readers,     I was just thinking that maybe you can't or don't want to comment because you don't have Blogger or such.   Maybe you would like to comment on the Twitter?   :)     Writer Ann.   CU there.

Hey.

One of the photos on my Putin blog didn't show up.

WTF.

Better not be any censor ship on my blog.

Besides President Putin looks fabulous in that fishing photo.

No, it is not disrespectful to President Putin to post those photos because I assume he posted them first and on purpose.

Rock on Prez Putin.

Lookin' good.

Work it ya'll.

"... I'm beautiful dammit..."

We all are.

:)

.

.Time to go do stuff.

Happy reading.

Writer Ann
..
Dear Mr. Putin,

Are you going to publish a calendar next year?

I think you should.

Please include lots of out door activities

like hiking

and fishing

in your calendar photos.

You, sir, are cuter than the current James Bond, Daniel Craig.

Dundahdahdah dah dah dah Dundadadahdah da dan < james bond theme

Heck, Mr. Putin, yer cuter than a speckled puppy dawg. :) .

Added to the Santa list. One Mr. Putin calendar.

Yay. !

Dear Santa,

I have been exceptionally good this year. I lost some weight.  I ate a salad (or two). I was a good listener to a friend in need. I tried not to ASSume (too much).

Santa,  I want some boat parts for the boat and about 1000 feet of dog wire for outside. This year I'm going to dispense with the groveling and just come out and say it.

I need a vacation.

I need a really good gynecologist who has absolutely no trouble with prescribing important medical type things.  Estrogen/Progestin are a good thing. Soy milk? Sucks.

I need a good mechanic for my car which while old is really low on miles and still looks fly.

I need my son to knock it off (he know what I mean)

And Santa I need to break this drought known as my sex life.

I am perking up. What's the good of the hormones if you can't do anything about it.

I'm not picky here either.  It's not too much to ask for age appropriate.  I'm liberal on the looks but not on the sense of humor. That part is non negociable.

And one more thing.

I need Craig Ferguson to go back to being the 2005 Craig Ferguson.  This new one looks like he is miserable and might quit.

I think that's about it. Ah one more thing. Remember Sailing Buddy?  He's back and personally I don't care for it one bit.  Can you please get Sailing Buddy a girl friend and a good reason to live across the country in another state?  I'm personally looking forward to Sailing Club without his being anywhere around me. Please?

Get him an acting job AND a girl friend in Bora Bora and I'll be delighted.

Please also get Pup to go to college. It's paid for. He's smart enough. I need his room for an office.

Send photos good looking co eds  and letters of acceptance from the college of his choice before he drives me mad.

Yay.

Oh and one more thing.  I am tired of being a disinherited slacker person. I'm a writer. It makes me happy.  I need a writing gig.  This domesticity is not fun.

It sucketh.

:(

That's about it Santa.  I'll write again if I can think of anything.  Thanks for not letting the water heater be too much of a pain. I'm relieved because now I KNOW when it's going to break down and if we're going to be able to handle it or not.  It did and we did.

I hear the sound of pitter patter of size12 shoes tapping their way down the stairs. WB was pizzed off last night. I'm not sure if it's a trend.

Better go see.

Happy day,

WriterAnn
.Not a rant. I'm just tired, tired, ti-erd of getting yelled at about things that aren't my fault. It looks like the world is in general plucked up.  Lots of incompetent idiots yelling at other people in the hopes that no on will notice that they, the yeller, is a pluck up.

I'm not playing that game any more.

I'm planning Christmas.  I don't care that Holloween hasn't shown up.
Nope.

For me it's about Christmas and being happy.

Leave me alone poopy people.

I am a flower.

A Zen like creature who totally at one with the Universe.

I am free and breezy.

Breathe in.

Breath out..

Just think.

Only (insert number) days until Christmas,

Can life get any better,

.

.
.
Yeah, I know.

It's Fall.

The leaves are falling and not much looks like Summer but what the heck....

.

I love this version with the syncopated rhythm.

:
"I'd like to help you son but you/re too young to vote..."

Crap.

Dear Fans OF CraigFerguson,

As most of you know, this week is re runs because TV's Craig Ferguson (CBS) is on vaca-- is working on the road in Canada.

For those who don't belie- who would like to keep up with Craig I think that you can check @craigyferg on Twitter where he actually uses technology to help us all keep up with his and JRT's hijinks on the road.

Fun. Fun. Fun.

If you are wondering why Tv's Craig Ferguson is spending all this quality time in Canada?

I think that there was a pole.

Uh poll.

I think he talks about it in this helpful, informative video...

(You are welcome.)

I'm so hap-py. I'm so hap-py.  I'm so ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ppy.

Have to put this here so that I can keep up.

Glee goes to the UK and goes posh-punck drunk......

Wait to the three minute mark and click the following youtube.

Then listen.

If you do it right it is awe inspiring.

Try it!

.

It is very good.  Like riding the crazy train and trying to  listen in on the conversations..

Note.

It's been a long day. People are mad at me and the dogs are restless and I'm just trying hard to make it past dinner without yelling at someone.

This makes me happy.

Be glad.

:)

I found this on Google.

I thought that this was a PSA for Herpes...

Tell the truth.
Doesn't this look like a metaphor for the guy that gave you VD and all those other people he slept with before he slept with you?

:)

>

I'm positively giddy from all this freedom.

Lol I told Pup and WB that I appreciated that they had opinions and gripes. I told them that they should write all those opinions down on a piece of paper, put the paper in an envelope, and send it in as a letter to the editor.

Then I got up and walked out the door marked "I don't care."

It was fantastic.

.

I did it!

I looked up someone from my actual past on the Internet.

I did.

And more important?

I actually found them.

I was soooo surprised but more importantly?

Mr. Most Likely to Succeed?

Mr. I'm learning Chinese because in the future it will be important?

Looks like Mr. Peanut.

I might be wrong about this because after all lots of people share the same name but ---

I'm fine with this being the person I used to know because the fella who used to play music and was the darling of the Philosophy Department  now wears polo shirts and hasn't changed his eye glasses since the 70's.

:)

I don't know why I am so happy but I am!!!

Do I want to go say hello?

Oh no.

I'm good.

Can't wait to tell my dad.

My dad thought he was the person most likely to get arrested.

Now?

He's Mr. Responsibility.

Wheeeeeeeeeeee.

What I am looking for in a significant other:

Must like dogs and children.
Must love movies.
Must love Pastafarians, agnostics, Unitarians,  and Baptists
Must understand the phrase, "All who wander are not lost."
Must understand  how "We'll just stay a minute." can turn into "We really do need to stay the entire night."
Must understand if my friend is getting a divorce? They need someone to vent to but not advice.
Must love Big Bang Theory and the last Dr. Who.
Must understand that I will only like the upcoming DrWho if he wears cloths like the guy in the latest Esquire.
Must love to "run naked through the sprinklers" but not run naked through the sprinklers.
Must understand that alone time is very important.
Must understand that a person needs their quiet space.
Must understand that writers write.  Sometimes on Thanksgiving morning. They will have to know their way around a kitchen or a take out menu. Sometimes I just need to write it down. Put the plate on the desk and quietly leave or I will ignore or yell.
Must love music of all kinds and understand why there maybe a morning you'll wake up to opera or bird calls.
Must love art museums and art galleries. Honest.

Note. Someone once asked if I really did love art museums. I do. I really do. Makes me as happy as the World Series and the Iron Bowl.

Must like the World Series and the Iron Bowl.

Must understand that I didn't choose my family. I inherited my family. We get in, visit, and get out of all unpleasant situations. Smile at the jokes and look interested while in you're in your head your sorting your socks.
Must really love country music.
Must be able to fix a leaky kitchen sink but understand that there's a time to call in the plumber.
Must under the need for independence and the need to be a "lap dog".
Must love horses.
Must be able to take care of the situation so that I can sit quietly and admire their strength.
Must know enough about trouble so that we can get into it and out of it safely.
Must love flowers and understand the power of good jewelry, a great jeweler, and ebay/etsy.
Must love the southern part of me that can neither pass up a good conversation, antique store, or flea market.
Must be able to sit quietly and hold an excellent conversation with someone who's not their age; very old and very young.
Must own and wear a hat.
Must understand the guilty pleasures of a shared secret or bit of gossip.
Must love boats.
Must know how to haul my butt out of bed if I founder.
Must know how to "loaf" creatively.
Must love boats even when they break.
Must be willing to take up a wrench or a hammer when said boat breaks but not complain bitterly if we have to hire a qualified mechanic to fix.
Must understand and love to cook.
Must not demand that I keep house.
Must understand that I don't do sick.  I'm either an idiot or a big baby.

Must be able to sit through the Iron Bowl and understand it's importance.
Must love me.

Must love the rain, the snow, adventure, the power of a conversation with complete strangers, and sex.

Oh my  I miss the puppets and the LLS circa 2009

LLS with the JRT and the robot is BS

I'm reading here and it says that there are people reading who are from the US and Canada.  Don't you want to ask a question or chat?  Wouldn't you like to know who I am?  If a blog writer was shouting out "hello" I'd answer.  So what's up.  Lol I'll even try to write you a poem or a short story.

:Newt.

Porch light is on.

Key's under the mat.

There's food in the fridge and clean sheets on the bed.

Wake me in the morning.

PS

There's good days and dizzy days and pain days.

Like the weather.

It changes.

I'm tired.

I can use a story to pass the time.

I can use telling a story to pass the time as well.

I need to sleep.

A place to lay my head.

Someone to watch over me.

.
If you only knew how much I needed a conversation.

Seriously?

Who are those people who work so hard to tell us if we're beautiful or not.

I'm not giving that power to anyone but me.

There's just other things to thing about.

(Good day. No pain day. No dizzy day. Okay day.)

Hurray.

.
.

Melissa McCarthy.

I'm not going to rant.
I'm not.

Instead?

I'm going to put on the clothes that make me feel fabulous and go out.

My theory is that there are people who are berating themselves because we don't meet some unrealistic size.
When they look in the mirror?
They see too fat, too skinny, too old, too young, too wrinkled, too......

I went back to look at photos from years ago.  I remember how insecure I felt at the time.  No one looked at me and said the words I needed to hear...

"You are fierce."

So I looked down, studied, and hoped that someone would ask me out.

They didn't and I was beautiful, smart, and lovely as a person.

I wish so bad that I could go back at tell that person in the photo that she shouldn't sell herself short.

I should square my shoulders, lick my lips, and say

The only negative thing I'm going to say about the cover?

It's such a cliché of that backhanded complement,

"She has such a beautiful face. If she'd only lose some weight."

.Cliché.

.PS

After I showed those photos from the past?  I went to look in the mirror.

I am fierce.

:)

hugs FredAstair Swing time.

...     "Head down. Shoulder to the stone"     ...

.

.
NB : I'm really going to need to get some sleep.  Hugs.  I know that there are people who read my blog. Doesn't anyone ever converse?

I don't know what it is about our pets.  Cats, dogs,  snakes, fish....

we love them.

Kind of like those people in our life that have at one time or the other metaphorically chewed our lives.  They mess up but most of the time they keep us from going nuts.

(This has to be one of my favorite monologues.  I miss them. Better than the angry ones.)

So today is a dizzy day which is only slightly better than the pain days.

If you are Irish David?  I kind of need you to contact me. Please try. If anyone says that I don't want to hear from you? Smile, be charming, and then go around them.  Most of the "helpful" people in my life haven't always had my best interest at heart.  They've been too busy with their own interests to even check my pulse.

If anyone knows how to get Craig Ferguson ( @craigyferg  ) to come visit Atlanta?  It sure would make my day.

Will try to write something soon.  I'm just being a big baby. Need a hug. :(

Hugs,

WriterAnn
