"The miracle is that some how, with no more than that determination in their gut, some how they find their way back home."

Merry Christmas

  2. I'm adding this here so that I won't forget.
I'm adding this here so that if someone needs to here this?
    They'll know.

I'm trying my best to find home and family. This hasn't been the easiest thing. I don't know why my folks don't want me to be with them. I'm hoping that it will change some day. I keep thinking that there's a reason.

What I am learning now is how to fill my days. I can remember watching my mom, who was upset about something, clean the kitchen. I can see her at the sink. She's not sad but she' concentrating. Maybe she was praying. What I learned was that if you are truly worried about something, it's a good idea to clean your closet or wash dishes. Go somewhere where you'll find people helping someone else. No matter what happens about what you are worried about, you will have something to show for your time.
Today I washed a lot of dishes. The memory of not getting along with my folks or the death of my son was away for a while. I could breath.

Until I find my home, I'm getting to visit.

WB sings when I ask him, "Where's your home?"

I'm glad that when I die that there'll a place for me but in the meantime? I'm alive. I'm here. Surely there are places for us to be where we're not just visitors but where we can be with family?

  4. This world is not my home, I'm just passing through.
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore...

    2nd Verse
They're all expecting me and that's one thing I know.
My Savior pardoned me and now I onward go.
I know He'll take me through,
though I am weak and poor.
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore...

    Chorus
O Lord you know I have no friend like you
If Heaven's not my home, then Lord what will I do?
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.

    3rd Verse
Just up in Glory Land we'll live eternally.
The Saints on every hand are shouting victory.
Their song of sweetest praise drifts back from Heaven's shore
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore...

  5. I didn't write the words to "This world is not my home, I'm just passing through..." Wish I did but I didn't. Good song.

  6. We have a tradition here. At midnight on Christmas Eve, I step out on the front steps and I recite the following:

    The first amendment.

    John 3:16

    And a prayer.

"Thank you for letting me be born in America. I am grateful to live in a place where I can stand outside of my front door and say this prayer. Thank you for letting me be able to make my choices to believe or not believe without fear of being arrested for it. I am praying for peace for my family and all the world."

    Then I sing Silent Night.

When midnight comes, I strike a bell 12 times.

I hope that I'll hear songs from the church down the road. I'm hoping to hear "Go Tell It On The Mountain"

I'm hoping that I'll see old friends at the front gate.

    I keep looking for them.

Last week we went to my son's grave site. While there we happened upon the site of someone we'd crossed paths with years ago. It was so weird to see his name there on the marker. I was sad that I didn't go to see him when I had the chance.

If you have it in your heart to go see someone? Go see them or at the very least call. That way if something happens? You can say, "I'm so glad to have seen them when I had the chance.

That means you, WB just in case you read this blog.
