The RSA’s @chosenmert is feeling the vibe of a summer moment in Paris. She wrote a few lines of prose with Craig in mind:

    To Craig in Paris

It is morning, or perhaps it is evening. The colors of the sky are performing their changing of the guard. You are seated at a bistro table, alone with a book, or perhaps with someone you love. Across the way, seated at another table, do you see her? A dark-eyed girl is writing in a notebook. Or perhaps she is sketching a picture of this lovely Paris sky. You glance her way; she raises her head. Your eyes meet, for just a moment, And you share a smile. That quiet, dark-eyed girl, having her tea and porridge, is us. We are with you, cher pitre, cher ami. In spirit, we sit and share this golden moment with you. We, your friend unmet, cher prince, le renard that you have tamed…We will not disturb you. The glance and smile were enough. You’re in our hearts, and we wish you well.

    (Oh mercy)

    MY version.

"Is it morning or evening? I don't know. Was up all night trying to edit a story before press time. I'm hungry. I go to the local Starbucks. The line is huge and my stomach growls. "Why is the line so long?" it growls, "Feed me, Cemore." Like in the play. "I'm not sure why stomach. " I whisper, "Now hush. You are rude." Then I see in the line in front of me a person who says, "We resume shooting the cold open at 10am. This line is long." I think, "Hmm. He is American. Perhaps he is making a movie for Hollywood? Maybe there's a part for an actor/writer? I am after all both of these things." So I ask them who is making this movie and they tell me that it is for the Late Late Show avec Craig Ferguson. I do not know who this person is but it's American television. Their writers make money for crap. I ask them where I could find this man? They point across the way. I look at this man they are pointing to and I smile. He smiles back! Tv writer here I come.
Then I see him talking to a puppet. I think to myself, "Must be a show for kids. Too bad. I have standards."...."

    The end.

I tried to do flowery but I don't do flowery.

As for Zen day 23 (or 24)?

Pup made dinner and Boston won at hockey.

thank you for sharing RSA News and @chosenmert .
Always good to read the work of a fellow writer.

    Prose indeed.

    Now for the poetry.

"There once was a man in Paris.
Who doesn't quite know where his what is
    He search high and low.
    Round Paris did go

Sigh, you finish it. I'm hungry. BBL

Happy Zen moments to one and all!
